Abyssinia/Ethiopia as the cradle of religious dialogue!

I was out of town to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 14 June - 1 August 2010
The first two weeks I was on the interfaith trip to Abyssinia / Ethiopia as the cradle of religious dialogue between Muslims... and Christians, where the first Hijra in Islamic history took place when the beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW was sent a delegation of men, women, children and adolescents to the justice of the Abyssinian king.

The Muslim emigrants welcomed by the Just King called Ashama who later became a Muslim called Ahmad Negashi and Prophet Muhammad testified that the Just King became a Muslim and died a Muslim.

We drove 28 people from Sweden, consisting of Muslims, Christians and Jews to learn from the peaceful coexistence of both the previous and the present and future.
We visited the Muslim, Christian and both Judaism religious and historical places in different parts of Ethiopian, including Ahmad Negashi Mosque and his burial outside the town of Mekele, the historical area of Lalibela is an archaeological site in Ethiopia and the Ethiopian Jews living in city of Gondar. The trip was very informative and all participants were very kind!

We took some of our Muslim Peace Agents and an imam and two priests as religious leaders.

I'll post some pictures from our trip on my facebook and my blog later Inshallah!

Salam without Borders!
